How it works
Pediatric rule of thumb: ~150 ml of infant formula per kg of body weight per day in the first six months, dropping to ~120 ml/kg/day from six months on as solids are introduced. Daily intake is capped at 960 ml (32 oz). These figures apply to formula or pumped breast milk — breastfed babies self-regulate and cannot be overfed.
Important: these values are guidelines. Watch your baby's hunger and fullness cues. If you have concerns about growth or feeding, talk to your pediatrician.
